Login issues
"Invalid two-step login code" or login fails
You're likely using the wrong login method. Make sure you're clicking Enterprise Single Sign-On, not the regular email and password fields.
The vault uses Google SSO only — there is no separate vault password to enter.
"Registration is disabled"
New account creation is turned off for security. Your administrator must add your Google account before you can log in.
Contact paul@missionet.co.za to be added.
The app asks for a "Master Password" instead of Google login
This happens when the app is connected to the public Bitwarden cloud instead of the Missionet vault.
- Tap the settings cog before logging in
- Set Server URL to
https://vault.missionet.co.za - Tap Save — the Google SSO option should now appear
I forgot my vault passphrase
Unfortunately there is no way to recover a lost vault passphrase — this is by design. Your passwords are encrypted with it, and no one (including the administrator) holds a copy.
Contact paul@missionet.co.za — the administrator can delete your account so you can start fresh. Your stored passwords will be permanently lost.
Going forward, store your passphrase somewhere physically safe (notebook, drawer).
Browser extension issues
"Cannot connect to server" in the extension
The extension is likely pointing at the wrong server. Check that the Server URL is set to exactly https://vault.missionet.co.za — with https:// and no trailing slash.
- Click the Bitwarden extension icon
- Click the Settings cog (top-left)
- Verify the Server URL and click Save
The extension isn't auto-filling on a site I've saved
A few things to check:
- Make sure your vault is unlocked (click the extension icon — if it shows a lock screen, enter your passphrase or biometrics)
- The saved URL must match the site you're on. If you saved
example.combut you're onaccounts.example.com, it may not match - Click the extension icon and search for the site manually — you can fill from there
Mobile app issues
Autofill isn't working on my phone
Android: Settings → Passwords & accounts → Autofill service → select Bitwarden. Make sure Bitwarden is selected, not your phone manufacturer's built-in password manager.
iPhone: Settings → Passwords → AutoFill Passwords → enable Bitwarden. You may need to disable iCloud Keychain if it's taking priority.
The app keeps locking itself immediately
You can adjust the vault timeout in the Bitwarden app settings:
- Open the app → Settings
- Tap Vault timeout
- Set it to something like "1 hour" or "On app restart"
Also enable biometric unlock so that when it does lock, you just need a fingerprint or Face ID rather than your full passphrase.
